St. Thomas, Apostle

Thomas the Apostle, also called Doubting Thomas or Didymus (meaning “Twin”), was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is best known for doubting Jesus’ resurrection when first told of it. But, when Jesus appeared to him and allowed him to touch His wounds, Thomas proclaimed “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28).

Tradition says he took the Gospel to India.
