For over 125 years St. John’s Lutheran Church has been serving the Port Washington area with Reverence in Worship, Excellence in Education, and Fun in Fellowship.  St. John’s offers regular services to the glory of God and in the tradition of historic liturgical worship.  During the past 125 years the congregation has also shown concern for excellence in education through the operation of a day school and pre-school.  While the Academy classes have been suspended due to financial issues the commitment to Excellence in Education continues.   St. John’s Lutheran Church presents periodic seminars under the heading of St. John’s Lutheran Academy to advance knowledge and understanding of current issues illuminated by Biblical principles.

In the seminar Rev. John E. Klieve will be applying Biblical Principles to the task of educating children (and adults for that matter).

How does the understanding of “Law” and “Gospel” affect both the teacher and student?

What do the Ten Commandments have to say to our children and us?

Does order of creation and creation in general impact how and what we teach?

We hope that you will want to join us to find out the answers to these very important questions.
