“I am coming soon.” When is “soon” and what are we to do until then? As this book of comfort draws to an end we are not given an unanswerable question to answer. It is one of the sneakiest tricks of Satan to have the Christian church trying to figure out when Christ is going to return. Jesus himself told us no one will know. Rather than an endless maze, we are given words of comfort. The river of living water flows from the throne of God through the means of His Grace, (The Gospel, Baptism and The Lord’s Supper). On the banks of this river the Christians’ roots continually draw strength and life from the source of Life, Jesus Christ.
